* Pandavas
The 5 sons of king Pandu by his wives Kunti & Madri - Yudhishtra,
Bheema, Arjuna were born to Kunti. Nakula & Sahadeva were born
to Madri.
Pandu was cursed by rishi Kindama that he will die if he attempts to
have sexual relationship. Kunti had received a boon from sage
Durvasa, when she was young. She could have a child through any
God/Deva by reciting a mantra. Kunti had 3 sons - Yudhisthira by
reciting the mantra of Yama, God of Dharma. Bhima by reciting the mantra
of Vayu, God of Wind and Arjuna by reciting the mantra of Lord Indra
and Madri had 2 sons - the twins Nakula and Sahadeva by reciting the
mantra of the twin Ashvin Devas.
* Paraasarar
Parasarar was the grandson of Sage Vasishtar, (one of the
Saptarishis). He was a wandering maharishi who had given up all
worldly pleasures. As he was travelling in Satyavati's
boat, he realised through divine vision that the time was right to bring
forth a great soul into this world and that a child conceived at that
time, would be an amsam of Lord Vishnu. Sage Vyaasar was thus
born through the union of Parasarar and Satyavati. Sage Vyaasa
was brought up by his father Parasarar who passed on all his knowledge
to his son.
* Prasena
Karna's sons were Vrishasena, Vrishaketu, Banasena, Chitrasena, Satyasena, Sushena, Shatrunjaya, Dvipata and Prasena.
* Pritha (Kunti)
The chief of the Yadu dynasty was Surasena (Shurasena). He was the father of the magnanimous Vasudeva (Krishna's father). He had a daughter named Pritha. Surasena had promised his child for adoption to king Kuntibhoja who was childless. Pritha was thus adopted by king Kuntibhoja and renamed Kunti.
* Puloma
Sage Chyavana is the son of Bhrigu Maharishi and Puloma.
