Nanganallur Anjaneyar temple

The Viswaroopa Adhivyadhihara Sri Bhaktha Anjaneyaswami temple is located in Nanganallur, Chennai.
Sri Maruti Bhakta samajan trust established this temple in 1985. In
1989 a huge 32 feet Anjaneya idol carved out of a single rock was
installed by Kanchi Mutt's Sri Chandrashekarendra Saraswati
Mahaswamigal. In 1995 consecration (Kumbhabhishekam) took place
after the construction of the Vimanam, Mahamandapam, 5 tier Raja Gopuram
and other sannadhis.
The 5 tier Rajagopuram is 54 ft with 7 kalasams has sculptures of Anjaneya, Narasimha, Dakshinamoorthy..
The moolavar is Sri Aadhivyaadhihara Bhaktha Anjaneya. Vyaadhi means
disease and hara means to destroy. He protects devotees from body
discomfort and diseases blessing all with good health. He further
removes fear from adversaries.
Since he is Naishtika Brahmachari (lifelong celibate) one can see the veeryamani on the idol's right leg.
There are sannadhis for Vinayagar, Kothanda Rama sannadhi - Lord Rama
with Seetha, Lakshmana and Hanuman, Venugopala sannadhi - Krishna with
his consorts Bhama and
Rukmini, Raghavendra, Nagar and Garudan.
After the first Kumbabhishekam in 1995, subsequent Kumbhabhishekams took place in 1999, 2007, 2022.
