Tansen Festival is organised every year in Gwalior. On 25 December 2023, more than 1500 tabla players from around 50 cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and other states got registered in the Guinness World Records by
playing tabla together (the tune of Vande Mataram) at the historical fort of Gwalior in Gwalior,
Madhya Pradesh at an event named Taal Darbar at the 99th edition of the
Tansen Festival.
During this event, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that December 25 will be celebrated as Tabla Day.
