The Andaman and Nicobar administration
on Saturday set a new Guinness World Record by unfurling the world's largest underwater national flag, the massive Tricolour, measuring approximately 60 by 40 metres at Radhanagar beach in a complex, tightly coordinated operation, involving multiple agencies and trained divers at Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island).
Personnel from the Andaman and Nicobar Police, Forest Department, Indian Navy, and Indian Coast Guard, as well as scuba divers from various diving centres, collaborated to execute the intricate underwater unfurling. Three school children - Fateh Jahaan Singh (16), Lavanya Eira (15) and Ranvijay Singh (14) - were the youngest participants among more than 200 divers.
Rishi Nath, adjudicator from Guinness World Records, formally confirmed the achievement and presented the certificate to Lieutenant Governor (retired) D K Joshi.

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Sunday created another Guinness World Record with the formation of the tallest human stack underwater at Swaraj Dweep, formerly known as Havelock Island. Fourteen people, including Lieutenant Governor (retired) DK Joshi, took part in forming the 22.3-metre-long stack, and they stayed under the water for three minutes.

Uttar Pradesh has set two world records in just 24 hours by constructing a 10-kilometre crash barrier and laying 34.24 lane kilometres of bituminous concrete road. This achievement has earned the state entries in the Golden Book of World Records, Asia Book of Records, and Indian Book of Records.
This world record consists of laying bituminous concrete on 34.24 kilometres, using 20,105 metric tonnes of bituminous concrete and covering 171,210 square meters, all within 24 hours of nonstop operations and 10km of metal beam crash barrier installation by PATEL ancillary company Road Shield Private Limited.
Gujarat-based Patel Infrastructure Ltd (PATEL) has registered its name in setting up the world record for the fastest construction of a 6-lane Ganga Motorway project, which happens to be India's longest motorway owned by a state, the company said in a statement.

The longest piece of asphalt/bituminous concrete laid continuously is 42.2 kms and was achieved by Raj Path Infracon Pvt. Ltd. and Jagdish Kadam (both India) between Amravati and Akola Districts on NH 53, India from 3 to 7 June 2022.
The entire attempt happened in blistering heat, with temperatures ranging between 40-45 degrees Celsius. The constructed road is a part of National Highway 53 in India.
