The 5 sons of king Pandu by his wives Kunti & Madri - Yudhishtra, Bheema, Arjuna were born to Kunti.  Nakula & Sahadeva were born to Madri.

Pandu was cursed by rishi Kindama that he will die if he attempts to have sexual relationship.  Kunti had received a boon from sage Durvasa, when she was young.  She could have a child through any God/Deva by reciting a mantra.  Kunti had 3 sons - Yudhisthira from God of Dharma. Bhima from Vayu, God of Wind and Arjuna from Lord Indra and Madri had 2 sons - the twins Nakula and Sahadeva from the twin Ashvin Devas.
